The Little Angel, Whitby

Unfortunately, the pints we had in this pub did smell and taste pretty vile. It's a shame, because the lady behind the bar was lovely and I liked the pub itself. My advice is to drink bottles in here.

The Granby, Whitby

We visited this pub in July 2009 & thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was lovely and the portions huge - very good value. The only negative point was that as a cider drinker, there wasn't much choice. But apart from this, The Granby was a decent pub, with lovely food!

The Black Horse Vaults, Whitby

Love this pub! After visiting Whitby for the first time with my partner, we stumbled upon this little gem on a baking hot July day. After noticing that they sold a great range of bottled ciders and ordering an ice-cold bottle of Katy cider, I was in heaven! The regulars were really friendly, as were other holidaymakers and the bar staff were also lovely - they treated us as regulars from our second visit. As a dog lover, I also appreciated the fact that well-behaved animals were allowed into the pub, which makes a refreshing change these days. The Black Horse was easily our favourite pub in Whitby, and we can't wait to visit again.
