The Cowdray Arms, Balcombe

The Cowdray has just re-opened after a refurbishment and what a fantastic change. I ate there yesterday and the food was amazing. The pubs uses all local Sussex produce and offers dishes on the menu that are just brilliant. Everything was so tasty and the service was really friendly. It's a real gem for anyone living in the area.

The Dog Inn, Grundisburgh

This pub is fab. Lovely location with great food. Seasonal produce used throughout the year. Great game and fantastic home made burgers. Everything is freshly cooked and locally supplied. If you just want a drink, there's lots of tables at the front facing the beautiful village green or a back garden with play area which is enclosed and brilliant for the children. You'll be made to feel welcome, a true gem of a village pub!

The Fox Inn, Bury St Edmunds

Food and beer at the Fox is superb. All drinks are served by friendly and attentive staff. Food is all freshly prepared and the cheese board and home made chips are a treat. There's a great selection including vegetarian, fish, pasta and organic options. It's totally smoke free so has a clean atmosphere. Everyone taking a trip to Bury St Edmunds should visit. Just a patio area to the rear.
