The Greys, Brighton

I've only ever been during the day to enjoy a spot of lunch, which is ALWAYS delicious. Arguably the best pub food in Brighton.

Decor is neat and traditional.

Couldn't tell you about its worth as an evening boozer however as I've never been. Must admit it can seem a bit daunting on your way in however, and now more so after reading the comments on ticket holders only welcome during music nights.

The Duke Of Beaufort, Brighton

Have to disagree I'm afraid.

I thought the place was horrid.

Very smoky. Different sports on every telly (and it wasn't even during a football/rugby/cricket match).

We ordered food and 15 minutes later the girl came back and told us she couldn't find the chef so would have to refund us our money.

One I'll be avoiding in the future

The Walmer Castle, Kemptown

I really like this pub. Good beers, nice staff and apparently the food is good too. Stowford Press on tap is always a bonus.

Love the fish tanks and the 3 main sections, allowing you to hide away if you're feeling antisocial!

Although trendy looking from the outside, the clientele is usually fairly mixed and the music tends to vary from inoffensive ambient stuff to traditional bar grooves (although I once caught them playing a Red Hot Chilli Peppers album and had to leave after a pint. Thankfully this has not been repeated since!)
