The Tide End Cottage, Teddington

Well what can I say? Went here for the first time since it's renovation for a quiet last order. I really like it and strangely enough although the footy was on the screens (and the fans) were not overbearing. I thought it was pretty good and quite kitsch before and feel it has lost none of it's charm but has been dragged into the 21st century. Is still a 'pub' pub and not a trendy bar as befalls many of these old pub to new renovations (St Margs Tavern good example of this!). The landlady was lovely and welcoming and although they seem to be struggling with their new found success (long wait for food), I think when they have got the balance right it will be very right!

This will be my local and I shall be leaving behind the rowdy and sometimes abusive crowd of the Teddy Arms as this is now the primary contender for best pub in tedders! Well done! Great deck!
