The Cartoonist, Holborn

I recently popped into The Cartoonist for the first time for a quick pint after work and stayed until closing time. A very friendly pub with a good atmosphere and quality beer. I got talking to the licensee, Graham. He�s been in the pub trade since the age of 14, his first job collecting glasses. About a year ago he retired and moved to Sussex but got bored and missed London. He took on The Cartoonist as one last challenge. Colleagues have told me that under the previous management it had been run down and neglected.

He does food at lunchtime but is closed weekends. I definitely recommend this pub.
