The Joseph Bramah, Barnsley

Nice selection of real ales and comfy seating, lots of screens to see the news on too. Only downside is sometimes the staff can be a bit ignorant and I've been stood a few times waiting to be served and they've gone right past me and served the next person instead. Good pub grub at a decent price too. would have got 9/10 but a point off for the rude staff.

Chennell's, Barnsley

Great boozer - lived in Barnsley for two years now and the missus who is a local lass says it hasn't much changed in over 20 years and is the better for it.

The Coal Hole, Strand

Popped in here for a Sunday roast dinner one weekend before Christmas and was not disappointed. Slices of roast beef about an inch thick and potatoes crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle just as I like them. Washed down with a decent pint of ale for me and a red wine for the missus. Service was friendly and efficient and will pop in again if in the vicinity. Roast dinners for two and two drinks came to just over 25 quid which is a fair price for London.
