The Chequers Inn, Heaverham

I come to this pub every Friday lunchtime (and sometimes on other days, too) and can honestly say that this is a gem of a pub. It has chocolate box cottage character, the staff is ever so nice, the beer is good and so are the wines, which impressed me the most. Usually you don't find good wines, let alone good house wines in a pub because the focus is on beer.

The food is great, too, posh cheese on toast (goats cheese on ciabatta with a balsamic glaze) is one of the dishes they offer amongst the biggest burger I've ever come across (and it's a proper burger with all the right trimmings like tomatoes, gherkins etc.), tender lamb shanks (sourced locally), fish and chips and other small dishes like roast beef baguette with horseradish or roast pork with apple sauce.

There is a huge beergarden outside, framed by roses and trees.

Dogs and children are always welcome!

The Rifleman, Sevenoaks

The Rifleman is one of the last good pubs left in Sevenoaks. Good ales, nice area in the back and front, friendly locals, dogs welcome and the only pub with a decent smoking area outside. There's also a lot of live music on and open mic nights.

Bricklayers Arms, Chipstead

We love this pub! Great food (you can even get extra crackling for your roast pork!), great service, really nice atmosphere and the beers are excellent. The location is fabulous too with the green and the lake opposite. I can totally recommend this pub! If you come on a Sunday they hold a meat raffle where you can win sausages, chicken, gammon, steaks, etc. etc.
