The Artramont Arms, Croesgoch

Great local pub
Real ales, cracking Guinness and fish n chips.
As well as the hosts - Tom and Gareth - Has Sky Sports in separate room too - only one in area.
They all support the right team in there too BTW

Wyndham Arms, Bridgend

As a hotel not too bad - it has beds and tellies and is relatively clean
The two drink rule for adults with kids - wow -if you don't have kids I'm not sure what limit is? So was really glad to bail out after two.
Interestingly the barmaid, when telling me about the two-drink rule. suggested I have the strongest beer available (because it was the strongest and with not a jot of irony).
Just like most of the others in there I paid a visit to the salubrious Bargain Booze round the corner for a nightcap top up.
Then breakfast - wow. So what are the drink limits at breakfast time. One fella had a quadruple Bells next to us.
What I don't understand about Weatherspoons is they clearly have people in there with a drink problem, major drink problems and yet doing some PR guff about combatting parents drinking with kids is an attempt to make them seem responsible. Balls - they do not give a toss about people's health.
There is a 'community noticeboard; in the Wyndham. It should have the details of AA meetings so that some of those poor souls can at least be aware there is an alternative.
Disgraceful in a word.

The Garden Gate, Hampstead Heath

Pretty sure he is in there every night but Brian and his three-legged dog will perform magic tricks on request
Brian is more regular than the bar staff who seem to change if you stay for more than one pint
