The King and Queen, Edenbridge

The King and Queen is one of many pubs along the main high street in Edenbridge but easily the nicest to look at, with it's cottage-like appearance, it is a building full of character and rich in history.

The decor inside can only be described as typical olde-wolde - odd furniture, uneven floors and wooden beams on the ceiling. It's cosy and the leather sofas are very inviting, so much so that it would be dangerous to sit there after one too many ales!

Alec the Landlord is very friendly and larger-than-life, he greets all of this customers personally and makes sure that their every need is catered for. Dave, his friend of many years is employed as the chef and his wife Heather is the co-owner and always seems to be rushing around making sure everything is running smoothly.

There is a wide selection of beers and ales available and the food is all home-cooked and the portions generous. This pub has managed to keep its locals for many years as well as acquiring many new loyal customers.

Prices are very reasonable, especially for the food. I would recommend the King and Queen to anyone who likes nothing but to have a good time.
