The Bree Louise, Euston

I've used this pub on an occasional basis for the past couple of years and the two recent visits have definately seen an improvement in both the quality of beer and service. A huge range of ales - too many in my mind - but the quality has been good. The barstaff were - unusually - English and had a concept of the beer and pub culture unlike the surly east Europeans of sometime back.
The toilets could do with a revamp and the pub is always too warm but all in all a decent pub and worth a visit. If you're a Camra member don't forget your membership card for the discount.

The Merchants Inn, Rugby

On a recent pub crawl in Rugby this was the best one. A good selection of different and well kept beers plus a good range of bar snacks different to the normal selection.
The walls are covered with brewery memorabilia of which a number are no longer with us; some missed and the others certainly not missed.

Twice Brewed, Hexham

Good location for those visiting Vindolanda and/or Hadrian's Wall and despite it having accomodation and a large menu it hasn't forgotten it is a pub. The Twice Brewed Bitter was excellent on a recent visit, three other beers were on tap plus a good selection of bottled beers.
Good hearty food available for those walking Hadrian's Wall.
