The Fox Inn, Farthinghoe

Quite superb, food is excellent as is the beer. Good for lunchtimes or for supper and they will cater for special occasions too. It's not my local, I live 120 miles away, but have visited often while calling on friends locally. I believe they do Bed & Breakfast too though have no details.

Ship Inn, Langstone

This is Horndean Brewery's top pub in Hampshire. It is well managed and provides an excellent range of beer and first class pub food; being known particularly for its fresh fish dishes. Located on the mainland side of the Hayling Island bridge the views across Chichester harbour are outstanding. Very busy, particularly in the summer, it is well to get their early if planning to eat.

The Royal Oak, Langstone

Located in the ancient hamlet of Langstone, just off the Havant to Hayling Island road in what is probably the most outstanding waterfront location in the County. The choice of draught beer is very good as is the food menu. Get there by midday on a weekend if you don't want to wait for ages for your meal to be individually cooked; no TV dinners here. A huge fire is maintained throughout the colder months and dogs and children are welcomed. This one is well worth visiting, often; it is a no smoking pub too and highly recommended in all departments. Parking is a problem however but you can leave your car at the nearby Ship Inn on the main road at the bridge and walk back up the pathway (if you are discreet). The Ship Inn is pretty good too if you are a smoker.
