The Old Thameside Inn, London Bridge

Glad to see it isn't just me that has a problem with the staff who are either slow &/or rude. Great location, reasonable priced drinks. Haven't eaten there and judging by previouse messages not a good idea, though I did enoy it when they cooked steak sandwiches on a bbq outside.

It does live off it's location but with a few minor changes this could be one of the best.

Bar 38, Aldgate

If you find yourself low on funds towards the end of the month this is the perfect bar. Pretty much all beers and wines are on special (pint of Fosters �1.75), this is all day every day. Usually has a lively crowd in there on a Thursday and Friday night and a fairly even mix of boys and girls, the girls usually being of a good standard (but then again cheap beers seem to go down so much quicker so after a while they all look like alright). Wouldn�t spend all night in there but a great bar to start in, also does good, reasonably priced, food if you want to line your stomach before heading off for a big night out in the City.
