The Lightship, Levington

This is without doubt one of my most favourite places to drink the good stuff. Most Friday's I'm there and almost always after a sail. The IPA is great, food fantastic and service under the new owners is first rate. House wine is always worth it too. Many a good time had here either on my own or with good friends. Now the summer is coming in you can also sit out on the deck and see the sun go down over the Marina with the backdrop of Harwich ... perfect ... try it!

Dukes Head Inn, Stowmarket

Just made this discovery of this pub over the weekend. Great beer garden and well worth the visit. Quiz night there is good fun as well as fantatsic value for money on food. Monday night is a definite winner with their �1.79 a pint deal ... may ahve to make Monday a regular slot!! Friendly staff and great British food specials. Try it out!

Three Kings, Haddenham

I had written a comment on this but it seems to have disappeared! Anyway this is a favourite detour form my drive home from work. There are three reasons to visit this pub. The IPA, the bowl of cheesy chips and the welcome you get from the three legged cat! You wont be disappointed from a visit to this great Greene King pub. (but then can you be disappointed from visitng any Greene King pub I ask myself!)
