The Ram, Kingston Upon Thames

This is a nice pub, these reviews are dated. Every time I go I always want to return - the bar staff are always friendly and helpful, if they don't do something they will suggest another. There is a nice atmosphere during the day with the locals chatting together. In the evenings I like to go on a Thursday when it it open mic night - the resident band bring a good clientell to the place, it is certainly not a chav pub although it is quite a mix with older people and families during the day to a lot of students during the night. The students tend to be harmless indie kids so there's rarely a fight or a fuss.

With the drinks the selection of ales is great, far more than in most pubs, basic larger but lots of spirits and wines.

There is a big beer garden looking right to the river which is nice. I remember in the summer they gave plastic cups for outside when it was busy which is fair enough but some of the customers tend to kick off at that which I think is a bit pointless besides it's not that big a deal.

The ram has a lot of parties - during the summer there was a beach party where they Filled the beer garden with sand; JAck Daniels night, Halloween. Sexy Santa Xmas and an austrailia day is coming up. These are great because the bar staff always go all out and dress up.
