The Charles Lamb, Angel, Islington

The Charles Lamb has a great selection of beers (albeit a bit pricey) and the food is very tasty. But that's as good as this place gets: the atmosphere is very terse to newcomers. The staff were very rude when we ordered our food and were totally ungracious and acted as if we'd dragged in dog poop all over their wooden floor. As for their dog: if you go and touch or pet the cute little mutt, the owners get VERY aggressive towards you. I'd stay well shot of this pub until they sort out their attitude problem. There are nice pubs in the area, and this pub doesn't even qualify as a welcoming drinking establishment.
