The Crown and Mitre, Kings Lynn

Heard about the pub on this website - it did not disapoint. Me and two mates enjoyed a memorable hour or so sat at the bar discussing all manner of things with Roger the landlord. Very nice well kept Tom Woods beers were sampled. Lovely setting next to the river, fascinating collection of naval memorabilia, friendly locals and an eccentric host make this a sure fire winner. It just goes to show that sometimes it pays to ignire the GBG!

The Blue Bell Inn, Kidsgrove

Classic Potteries style town pub in a lovely spot by the junction of 2 canals. No lager, no music, no games - just good beer served by people who genuinely care about real ale.

The Grill, Aberdeen

The ultimate whisky pub - must have every single malt in those fantastic wooden cabinets behind the bar. Much bigger than it looks from the outside, its easy to walk past and miss it. Apparently they only recently installed a female toilet.
