The Waggon and Horses, Graveley

Food generally good and good menu. Tiny bar with locals welded to the four stools, much better now the smoking ban is in force. It is best to book in advance as only a few tables.Take your camera and set with a fast shutter speed, you may get a picture of the landlord smiling! Wine is expensive.

The Cricketers, Weston

Dropped in to this pub for a snack on Saturday 27th May 06.First visit so no prior knowledge of standard. We had scampi and chips and ham two eggs and chips.A friendly warm atmosphere with lots of cricket memorabilia (if you like that sort of thing)The food was excellent, good price and well presented, furthermore ther was a notice proclaiming that if you fancied something not on the menu they would endeavour to provide it.The barmaid was excluded from this offer.

The Chequers Inn, Stotfold

Visited this pub on Saturday evening (May 20th 06)in the company of some friends.I was a bit wary since I had suggested it simply because it was easily accessible for all concerned at short notice. No worries, the food was excellent, the prices reasonable and surprise surprise this pub still provides the traditional bread rolls!!Well worth a visit. Zynbenbix.

The Chequers, Stevenage

We are fussy about where we eat and drink, if there is a public bar and it's referred to as the "spit and saw dust" that's o.k. but we don't actually want the spit or the saw dust. Rest assured there is neither of those in this pub. What you get is a friendly service, excellent well prepared food, a pleasant atmosphere and no juke box!
Try it.
