The Endeavour, Chelmsford

Visited this lovely pub on a Saturday evening, and I must say that the Maldon Gold, which was on draft, was delicious. This is a proper pub. The sort of place you go if you fancy a chat and a pint. The jukebox in the corner has a very large selection of tracks, including numerous 70s soft rock classics. I spoke to a regular customer at The Endeavour, (Richard), who was clearly is a big fan of his local. (My god, that man could talk).

The Betsey Wynne, Swanbourne

We recently had lunch at The Betsey Wynne pub in Swanbourne. This pub displays may plaques confirming it's excellent conversion from I guess an old house or farm building,

The interior in light and airy, making a really pleasent environment.

We had lunch and a couple of pints of real ale each and the bill was a modest 24, which I thought to be excellent value, considering the quality and freshness of the food. I am told that all the meat is sourced locally from farms within the Swanbourne Estate, which is great news.

In summary. Well worth a visit.

Cubley Hall, Penistone

Cubley Hall is a fantastic pub, and also hotel. Large house on the edge of The Pennines. Friendly, welcoming staff, excellent food. Great selection of very well kept beers. I usually stay at Cubley Hall, when visiting family, nearby. Highly Reccommended
