I went to the pub for the first time in ages last night as I saw it had been refurbished. What a pleasant surprise and at last just what was needed in Southgate. A decent pub for normal people who do not want to be surrounded by kids and chavs. A comfortable, relaxing pub that serves Tim Taylors landlord with excellent Thai Food. Well Done!

The Nobody Inn, Newington Green
I have to disagree with many of these recent comments. I was in the pub last night to watch Holland play Italy and it was packed with a cracking atmosphere. in addition, they now do Thai food in the Black orchid thai Kitchen which I assume is the same operator as does the food at the John baird in Muswell Hill. A cracking pub that even has Cobra on draught!!!

Went to the recent ale festivasl in the pub and had a great time. I also tried the food which was excellent. Well done to all.

What a pleasant surprise to revisit the John Baird following it's recent refurbishment! a great selection of real ales including London pride and Bonbardier as well as a Thai Restauarant. Full marks to the new owners who at last offer the locals of muswell hill and decent pub to drink in

The Old Barge, Hertford
By far the best pub in Hertford with a great selection of ales and really good food. I regularly visit when in Hertford and the pub never disappoints. Great pint of Hophead!
