The beehives food is prepacked, everything down to the mash has been cooked and put in a bag and then cooked in one of the three microwaves. The prices are ridiculous, even a bowl of chips costs an arm and a leg. There are a few good members of staff, Jamie and Kerr being the two best. One of the "chefs" (i'd rather call them a microwave technician) would rather sit and play psp than do any sort of work at all. All in all, another spirit group pub, with poor management skills and a lack of quality control.

i dont know why the comments got taken down as far as i knew this was an opinion site and my opinion is that iv been drinking in theis pub for 40 years and never saw it run as badly as when veronica took over. the company publicana is no good at what they do, they should leave well alone and not kill pubs its hard enough with smoking bans and the likes. the whole company are a shower of arseholes and i hope the decline in their pockets hits them hard and fast.

The Northern Bar, Edinburgh
not a bad pub, not great to go for a night out, but a good place for a good meal. The head chef, if it's still the same woman, is brilliant, and has alot of great ideas, a shame the manageress won't give her the space to run it her way.
