Excellent traditional pub, don't be put off by scruffy exterior, good beer and food, tried the Reet Pale 4%, so good tried it again.

truly awful pub in middle of bland suburbian nightmare of an estate, avoid at all cost and go and find a real pub, theres plenty around.

Fanny's Ale And Cider House, Saltaire
A must visit pub for real ale fans, just a few minutes walk up from Saltaire train station and more stimulating than the Hockney exhibition.

Visited here on a market day so was busy, service was, however, good and there was a mixture of locals and tourists ( us). Choice of at least 3 ales, would definitely recommend this pub.

Chain restaurant/pub pretending to be something else, beer overpriced, food pre packed ready meals both served by insincere staff. Try the Hare and Hounds in Barlow if in the area looking for a real pub.

Visited here twice on a recent visit to Keighley, on both occasions the staff were friendly and efficient and the pub is big enough to avoid sitting next to any of the more dubious clientle.

When I walk into any retail outlet I would expect the staff employed there to know something about the product they are selling. Being unfamiliar with the ales on sale I asked the barmaid what she might recommend or if not what type of beers they were. She shrugged and said she didn't know and turned to one of the regulars at the bar and asked him what he would recommend. He replied 'The Cricketers ' so that's where I went instead.

Best pub in Keighley friendly and knowledgeable barman and great choice of beers. Visited on quiet midweek evening so don't know how rowdy it gets when bands are on.

Good selection of ales but once again crap customer service, if you don't like tourists why work in a pub in Bakewell. Also don't bother with the overpriced food as there is a choice of 2 excellant chip shops round the corner.

The refurbishment has removed the character this pub once had and is now just an upmarket restaurant trying to attract punters from Chatsworth Farm Shop. Nothing wrong with the beer , but who in their right mind would pay 11.95 for fish and chips?

Great pub good choice of ales - and were even given free sarnies one saturday aftrenoon to soak up the beer, don't know if this a regular thing but was greatly appreciated

Excellent choice of beers and helpful bar staff, not cheapest in Sheffield but a far better pub than anything else near the station.

Visited recently on a Friday night, although packed never waited more than a couple of minutes at the bar to be served, great choice of ales and even the food was good.

Without doubt the best pub in and around Epping Forest - ignore review from gasperoo 28/12/08- the beer is always in good condition especially Adnams Broadside and the staff are invariably helpful and friendly - unlike the Mole Trap.

This is a modern Ember Inn, although not to everyones taste it had 4 decent real ales available on our last visit, all reasonably priced compared to other pubs in Epping.

avoid this pub at all costs, there are so many better places to eat or drink nearby. The beer is poor, the food is worse and the staff unhelpful and unprofessional.

Best pub in Epping itself , though had a dodgy pint of Bass here that was my fault for making a bad choice, other ales very good.

The Mole Trap, Stapleford Tawney
Excellent pub , good choice of ales, pleasant outside seating - walked here on a Saturday from Theydon Bois only to find pub closes at 2.30 !! Fortunately Theydon Oak in Epping now open all day (only 2 mile walk from here)

The Knights Templar, Chancery Lane
Not many wetherspoons like this, impressive building , good service and no down and outs.

This is the best `Ember Inn` we have visited, good choice of real ales, helpful barman and decent pub grub. The layout of the pub is much improved on the 2 previous revamps in the 90`s with decent sitting out area at back away from road.

Pay your money- take your choice , at 99p for a decent pint of Greene King IPA I won`t complain about the permanent huddle of smokers at the entrance nor the state of the toilets.

White Lion, Sheffield
Short walk down from Sheaf View, great pub as mentioned in previous reviews. Went to see live band Sunday 4pm, joint jumping but spoilt by too many unsupervised young children running around, won't be back until this is addressed
