The Railway Vue, Impington

Our choice of pub prior to our game with Histon. Very friendly landlord and indeed locals - we were made to feel very welcome. Surprised it wasn't busier on a match day though. Concur with Maldenman on the beers available - presume he was there the same weekend as us. Also convenient for the bus services from/to Cambridge (every 10 mins daytime) for those stopping in the city.

The Maypole, Cambridge

Very good selection of beers and good food available. Landlord and staff extremely friendly - they remembered us from our previous trip to Cambridge in April this year.

Have to say that on this occasion the pub was very quiet for a Saturday night, so no problems at all with service.

A couple of bitters were available at the 2.60 mark, most at the 3.00 mark, but I would suggest that quality over quantity is the order of the day here. We shall return.

The Live and Let Live, Cambridge

Definitely a beer drinkers pub - made to feel very welcome. Well worth the detour on the way from the Railway Station to the city centre. Here's to many further seasons of Histon or Cambridge remaining in the Conference so we can visit!!

The Salisbury Arms, Cambridge

Deceptively large pub. Very good selection of beers when we visited (same as when Maldenman visited) on Friday night - we tried two each and all were in good condition.

The only downside was that it was extremely busy but the back room tables were all reserved, so we ended up "hovering" in the passageways or out in the smoking area.

Worth the short detour if walking into the city centre from the Travelodge at the Leisure Park, or from the Railway Station.

Will definitely be visiting again onour next visit to Cambridge.

The Earl of Derby, Cambridge

Friendly pub - our second time of visiting (first visited back in April this year). Limited selection of bitters but all kept in good condition. Pub handy for the Travelodge, and excellent full English breakfast served up to 11am weekdays and 4pm weekends!!
