The Worcester Park, Worcester Park

Absolutely appalling to see what has become of a once treasured pub. The Manager, Pierre, is a total thug, with his bar staff in terror of him and most of his customers. Not to mention that a very much loved regular and member of the community was assaulted there this week and the manager stood by and did nothing. Before anyone says anything about getting the police involved they already are. To make matters worse the person assaulted was then barred from the pub for calling the police ! Clearly it is apparent that the manager couldn't organise a p*** up in a brewery let alone run a pub properly. In all my years in the trade (10 to be exact) i have never seen such abhorrent behaviour from a man who claims to be in charge of the place and claims to be a licensee. I just hope that the company that own this pub get rid of the manager before anyone else is hurt, frightened or the pub declines even more. Only thing it has going for it is the great Bar Staff who through it all try so very hard to keep going.

what has happened ? was horrified to hear what had happened to the previous landlord and his family at the hands of the new regime. cant see how they can still claim to be a family friendly pub after this. at least you wont have to go far to see stuart and gemma as they have moved round the corner to the ladas.

wont be going back to the horse and will certainly be recommending to all my friends, family and business colleagues that they boycott it too. i, for one, will definately be spending my money at the ladas instead. at least i know i can get a friendly welcome from decent people there.

and as for good business practise giving a family 9 days to leave is not good business nor is it "family friendly". a shame another decent pub down the pan.

definately wont be going back.

what a shame to hear that the cabaret nights have been cancelled recently due to one disgruntled person. when are people going to learn it's a PUBLIC HOUSE ?! don't move next to a pub if you don't like noise. maybe this person would be better suited in a cave somewhere away from civilisation. i, for one, am very sad to see a community pub's spirit being knocked especially after they seemed to be winning their battle with the pubco behind them. the cabaret nights were always such a great live music event.
To the person who has caused this take note: the general public in and around epsom DON'T feel the same way you do and appreciate this real diamond of a pub and everything it is trying to do. might i suggest you get out of dodge ? maybe the outer hebrides would better suit your way of life.

The Ladas, Epsom

could the owners not thought of anything original or do they have to steal other people's ideas ? There's a pub 5 mins away from the ladas that's already family friendly. With great homecooked food. Could u not come up with anything better ? There's no room for children to play either. Forget the ladas go to the white horse instead !

what a fantastic pub this is. Im amazed as to how they keep coming up with new ideas. There's lots of great deals going on; jazz, quiz, karaoke, kids eating free, bingo mornings just to name a few ! A real family orientated pub. Lovely couple running the pub. Imagine my surprise when i walked in to find a bouncy castle as a permanent feature in the garden. Really relaxed atmosphere, smiles all round from the staff. Nothing is too much for them. Definately the best pub in epsom. 10/10. Stars all round. And the Best Cask Ale for miles !

What a horrendous pub this is. If you can call it that ! locals are all so cliqy, not very welcoming not to mention the fact that it more resembles a crack den than a pub

What a great pub. Nice to see a good traditional pub that stands by traditional family values. The staff and management are friendly and helpful especially good for those with a family. Great to see a family running the place. Keep up the great work guys. definately the best pub in Epsom
