The Tom Cribb, Piccadilly

The previous reveiwer got it so wrong, they probably were real gangsters .he seems to forget that this is london, not some wishy washy suburban backwater. He also neglects to remember that these so called gangsters gave london the kudos that brings people to its doors. However having drank in Michaels for many years I can only assume that he did not become
one of the longest serving landlords thru pandering to the status quo.
If one requires so called normal pubs stick to the suburbs, then you should not be dissapointed, however to see the real world and experience a well run pub,Harris's is not so bad. doug !!

The Harp, Covent Garden

Somehow one often feels let down by a pub,but not in this case. The Harp to me, seems to be an oasis in what has become a barren land of mediocrity. All credit to Binny and the staff, they have created something unique, unfortunatly that would seem to be a mayworm to jealous folk who
do not only fail to grasp the true experience of the pub but also let themselves down by not understanding why they are in it in the first place.
Sometimes being different can make all the difference. We all have history, this pub has bags of it,treasure it !

The Magpie and Parrot, Shinfield

Having been a newcomer to this establishment, nay, this institution, for a mere ten years,i do not recognise it from the few negative reports on this site.however myself and fellow customers seem sure that the diatribe from the ex barman in november can only be put down to his own shortcomings.
In a world of mundane pubs both carole and doug have stood up and said
not us !!.they have created something that is both unique and unheralded,
a bar that brings together people without losing the fact that all are individuals. It is truly an oasis in what is fast becoming a barren desert of mediocrity.I SUGGEST A VISIT.
