Possibly one of the worst pubs I've ever been to. The beer is served ice cold - not good for bitter! - the service is at best grumpy, the surroundings dingy and in desperate need of updating. Then there's the food....... When I say that we spoke about this as the "pig swill pub" the quality of the home made food can be guessed at.
Even if you are really hungry or thirsty, I'd recommend you to avoid this place at all costs!

This place needs to decide what it is. It advertises itself as a gastro pub, though prices are steep for the area and the food only average. A local pub it is not.

The Marquis of Granby, Ipstones
A very welcoming pub. Newly refurbished with an excellent pub menu - I'd recommend the Steak & Ale Pie - and very welcoming staff.

The Queens Head, Icklesham
Food generally very good, though the pub does get very busy. The attitude of the staff lets the place down - generally fairly cheerless.
