Home is where the heart is and our heart is here. no matter what the time of year , the welcome is good, the beer is excellent , the atmosphere welcoming. The beer excellent. Food during the day is good and plentiful.

we went expecting as advertised a nice country pub, it does serve lovely homecooked food but in a higher end environment. the clientele were very high brow and looked down on us. we didnt feel very comfortable at all.

The Malt Shovel, Wirksworth Moor
Great homely pub, serving excellent real ale and good homely food at reasonable prices. Try the Sunday roast after a walk in the beautiful Derbyshire area, sat by the fire, with a pint. Marvellous.
