The Exmouth Arms, Exmouth Market

Does this pub not like strangers or does this pub not like strangers? Certainly made us feel as welcome as sand in the picnic. Drinks had two prices to. One for tourists and one for regulars. If you do not know it's there you would not go. They do not light the board up.

Viper, Exmouth

Brilliant pub! Brilliant booze! Brilliant juke box! Brilliant drinkers with the exception of a few. But this has got to rate full marks. It's a great place to spend a few hours.

The Pilot Inn, Exmouth

This is situated next door to the Heavitree. That is all they have in common. Anti-social to visitors and the worse tasting drink I have had in many years. Was contemplating a report to someone but I am not that type. The Pilot Inn will never see my custom again.

The Heavitree, Exmouth

This is one of Exmouth's better pubs. Full of Marines when I was there but friendly all the same. Superb pint of Stella at a reasonable price too.

The Spinning Wheel Inn, Paignton

"Quaint"! That is all I am going to say.

The Oldenburg, Paignton

This is a traditional English public house. With the added modernisation of Karaoke. If you want the plastic drinking joints or plush carpet and scented toilet rolls then this is not the place for you. If you want down to Earth drinkers with first class beers in a traditional drinking pub. Then this is the place! This type of pub is faast disappearing for the more continental quadrupal the price variety.

Collyweston Slater, Collyweston

A lovely pub but you cannot drink there. Why you ask? Because it means driving and the Police are as hot as mustard on the A43. Pity! I like this place despite it's refurb.

Golden Fleece, Stamford

I love this pub. I have even forgiven them for taking the Stella out in favour of the Kronenbourg. Usually the first port of call on a Friday night for us.

The Black Bull, Stamford

Ok everyone! The "Bull" was a bit run down in the past. But a new intake of owner has livened it up a little. It might not be the cheapest pub in Stamford! But it is a lively one with disco and karaoke on the weekend. Even the food menu has gone up market. Give it a try but you still get a certain amount of the idiots in on the weekend. Prior to going to the night clubs.
