The Warren House Inn, Postbridge

Absolutely LOVE this pub. Try and get here every few weekscouple of months. Great landlord, welcoming and friendly staff, warm atmosphere and views to die for. Nothing false or pretentious like you see in so many pubs these days, but how a pub should be - great beercider, dogs welcomed and lovely food!

Hope and Anchor Inn, Hope Cove

We've visted this pub a few times now, and I really hate to say it but it isnt a particularly welcoming place, and it is such a shame. Fabulous location, lovely dog who wanders about (pub dog?), gorgeous open fire.....food not bad, its just the staff arent very friendly - they really arent! - and it doesnt make you feel like going back...! I hope it changes, as I love the area.

The Viper, Mill Green

I love this pub and try to visit a couple of times a month. Beautiful location, friendly staff, nice beer garden, cosy pub inside and fantastic home cooked food. Dog friendly too which is a big plus, but incredibly clean everywhere. Only wish it was within walking distance but then would probably be there too often.

Mariners Rock, Rock

We love the Mariners for the fantastic view across the water, their welcoming attitude towards dogs, inside as well as outdoors and the pleasant bar staff. Food is pricey but also good - bring back the yarg sandwiches though please! Find the Hoorays a bit much but they are harmless ;-)

The Red Lion Inn, Dittisham

Stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it. Very friendly and down to earth staff, helpful and obliging, lovely food and near to beautiful walks and of course Dittisham Quay, River Dart, Greenway House, etc. Stayed in 2 different rooms and both were beautiful, though of course the one with the views of the river was idyllic. Dog thought he was in paradise too. Hope we can get back there, it was a treat.
