The Pride of the Valley, Churt
This is an interesting pub with great potential, and worth a visit. The atmosphere is nice with candles etc. Shame they have to put food place mats on EVERY table - discouraging for non-eaters. Need to make sure they top every pint up. Beer very good. Not eaten there.

The Three Horseshoes, Thursley
I went there last night for a drink with friends. London Pride was in great condition and pub busy, although they need to fill pints up to the top. Atmosphere good. Can't comment on the food.

The Duke of Cambridge, Tilford
Now this pub is worth a visit, especially for food. Service can be a bit slow, but staff very nice and mean well. Far better bet than Barley Mow on the green.

Oh dear what a lost opportunity! I have decided to now stop going here, even for a drink. The other night it was practically empty and the barmaid started stacking the chairs before 11pm. You really felt unwanted. Have experienced this before. Also fed up with having to ask for my pint to be 'topped up' when well short of top.

Went there last Saturday. Food very good, and service excellent. Expensive, but restaurant is quite upmarket.

The Dog and Pheasant, Brook
Went last Saturday with some friends and had excellent meal. Not cheap - steak was �18, but was superb. Other items on menu were more reasonably priced. It was cooked on open fire in bar, which was unusual. Atmosphere was good and staff friendly. Well worth trying.
