they closed the best bar in the north east to open this place. its a nasty, shitty dive. and its overpriced. damn ozzies.

Placid Cafe Bar, Middlesbrough
food to kill for, comfortable seating, friendly bar staff, damn good beer and coffee. maybe not the perfect nite spot, but its good.

cheap, eclectic and a touch chain-flavoured. its cheep, cheerful and the main start-off point for Boro's young locals, students, gay crowd, old locals, hen and stag do's and birthday piss-ups.
well. i did said it was eclectic.

since they split the pub in half and made it Flares and Rreflex, this place is a sweaty, overpriced, nasty hole.

Chicago Rock Cafe, Middlesbrough
not a bad place for a chain pub, the food is good, or was last time i had it about 2 years back. what really makes this place worth a look is the music. if only the beer was both cheap and nice, i'd go there a lot more...

possibly the quietest put i've ever seen, at any time of the week. it should give up the ghost and become student flats, as everywhere in liverpool seems to be doing at the moment.

The Dispensary, Liverpool
one of my favourite pubs. its wonderful. or rather it was until they redectorated and now it's lost its soul.
its heartbreaking to see such a grand old lady fal from grace.
