Fellows Morton & Clayton Ltd, Nottingham

Been here on a few occasions and the beer has always been on top form. On our most recent visit ( this very evening ) I had the sausage and mash, the missus had roast baby chicken. I was pleasantly surprised to find the mash to be made from real potato ( a rarity these days ) and the sausage to be of a very high standard. The chicken that the wife had was moist, tasty and the chips that came with the meal were the best we'd had from a pub/restaurant in a long while. Would go back for the food again...........
Their own beer was of a light colour and well hopped. Maybe not as full of flavour as some beers but non the less very nice. All in all a very good time was had, with the staff being friendly and helpfull. Has been added to our list of regular stops when in Nottingham.

Malt House, Brindley Place

It was busy when we went here, the staff didn't seem to be able to cope with serving such a large number of people, had a pint of bombardier which was not on form so went on the guinness which was ok.I ordered some food and was told it would be about an hours wait, one and half hours later still no food, i went to see what the delay was only to find other irrate diners doing the same, finally got our food, the chicken was burnt underneath and luke warm, we were so hungry we just ate our food and left and promised never to return.

The Dragon Inn, Worcester

Our first impressions from the outside were of someones house rather than a pub,we nearly didn't go in but glad we did as the beer was excellent.Several local beers including one of the nicest hand drawn stouts i've had in ages.We had bacon & brie batons from the bar snacks, very nice they were and reasonably priced.Returned weeeks later (we're not local) and although the beers had changed they were all still on top form. The staff were friendly too.We will definately be returning on our next visit to Worcester.

Ye Olde Starre Inn, York

Visited recently and found this pub really friendly with plenty of staff so no problem getting served and beer on top form,3 seasonal ales were on, along with john smiths & old peculiar (the 2 regulars). We also had some food and no complaints at all.Definately worth a visit.
