The Wellington Inn, Colwall

It's OK food - let's not get carried away.

Bonkers, like being in someone's house. Not so much a pub as a living room with a bar. But very very good.

Yeah - if they ever serve you. I once booked a table for four for 8pm, ordered almost immediately upon arrival then waited over AN HOUR AND A HALF for food. By the time it finally arrived we were all so drunk and hungry we would have eaten almost anything. The waitress even had the effrontery to ask, after an hour, in that charming, "couldn't care less" way, whether we were ok. She then got annoyed when I replied "it would be better with food". Nice pub, don't get me wrong but it's best to eat before you go there for a meal.

Robin76 to be fair I was on the breakfast lager, don't seem to remember it being that pricey. Shhh, don't talk about the C2C any more, it makes me sad.

On the slide. Since the charming Richard left, along with a few of the other chaps, this place is a shadow of it's former self. Shame.
Still a good boozer, but not what it once was.

Now that the Crown and 2 Chairmen has ceased to exist in any meaningful sense, THIS is the last bastion of decency in Soho.

Small place but friendly and pretty cheap as well.

It can be that bad. I have shifted allegiance to The Nellie Dean up the road. Not as good but still decently priced and not for nobs.

WHAT IN GOD'S NAME HAVE THEY DONE? Another great establishment destroyed. Another identikit pit. I am very very unimpressed.

Possibly the greatest pub ever.

Relaxed, friendly, great crowd, great tunes and staff. No idea why the manager got so much flak he seems to be one of the most charming people I have ever met. It rocks, but that is reflected in the prices. Food is pretty damn good in the week. BUT NOT ON SUNDAY.

great place - but lethal stairs and somewhat basic lavatories. Anything other than a number 1 requires a nip across the street to the toucan. not a fun place to be when you have dodgy guts.

Exactly what a pub should be - low on pretence and high on value. A great island of realness in the middle of all the soho ponciness. Why on earth this place hasn't a late license is beyond me.
