The Crown and Anchor, Chiswick
Nice enough pub. Friendly bar staff, though sometimes they can be a little slow. Chiswick is crying out for pool tables and this pub has bucked the trend by getting one in while most in chiswick are getting rid of theirs. They could make better used of their upstairs space for a couple of pool tables there rather than just having the one is the bar as this is constantly in use. They could also do with a better selection of food.

The only reason to visit this pub pre-refurb was that it was one of the few pubs in chiswick which still had pool tables. Post-refurb these have been removed, therefore as far as I can tell there is now no reason to visit this pub.
There are plenty of foody pubs in chiswick already, we didn't need another one.

The Packhorse and Talbot, Chiswick
A pub with little atmostphere, no pool tables (the listing is now well out of date!!) and flat beer. There are several other pubs in walking distance of this which are worth looking at before this one. However the food is ok and the service quick and friendly.

The Old Pack Horse, Chiswick
A pub where the refurb actually made it better (this must be a first!!). Nice pub, good beer and the resturant looks get (though I have yet to actually eat there). Only negative is that the bar staff do need to be more aware about who is waiting to be served.
