Alibi, Hove

First time recently as it is not easy to get to in Hove, just off the seafront. Oppostite the Sussex so you can have a crawl of 4 pubs within 200 metres. Good food and well kept beer. Bar staff organised and pleasant who know how to pull a pint. Recommended. Love their footy and advertise the games they show.

The Bell, Hove

In side street near Tesco, quiet and mostly locals, but well kept beers-Bass/Tiger/Sussex on tap when I went. Film night Mondays/good food and pleasant staff. One of the best in Hove and worth a visit

The Golden Lion, Aldershot

Like others, popped in on the way/to footy. Welcoming place, only Pride bitter but well kept. Was karaoke that evening and gets busy but worth the effort. Cheap and filling food. Better than others in the area.

The Red Lion, Hove

More of an update. Still well run and comfortable as per MOG comments. Quiz Tues at 8.30. Well kept Harveys Sussex bitter. Opposite the Sussex tavern-a no brainer for choice. Lovely bar staff. Not tried any food but never disappointed on the limited beer front. One of the best in Hove, although has little competition.

The Cliftonville Inn, Hove

Central location with well kept beer and usual great variety. Found it relaxing with plenty of seating. Only gripe is the lack of serving staff meaning long waiting times, even early in the day. The company should invest in staff, to improve customer satisfaction and give the current staff a break.

The Seafield Inn, Hove

Went to watch the racing. It is more a private club with only the locals acknowledged. Dire beer, Tried Sussex, which was flat. Little choice. No food, just a few bags of crisps. Humourless landlord. Not recommended. Scruffy, no character and probably the worst pub in Hove.
