The John Hewitt, Belfast

Great pub with an impressive selection of beers.

The Hatfield Bar, Belfast

Another one of my favourites. Always a good night guaranteed.

The Globe, Belfast

Cheesey-tastic. Good place to get fuelled up. Bit studenty, but good drinks offers on

The Glenowen, Belfast

Good food and reasonably priced. Bar seems nice too

The Fort Bar, Belfast

Great pint and atmosphere. I miss heading here for a quiet one after work

The Duke Of York, Belfast

One of the best spots in Belfast

Dempsey's Terrace, Belfast

I used to be assistant manager for my sins and agree with the other posters. Hell hole sums it up

The Botanic Inn, Belfast

Pub for students and farmers. Terrible pints and sticky counters and the worst queue for the ladies I have ever seen. Staff are useless and I would give it a wide berth

Auntie Annies, Belfast

Good spot. Never tried the food, but pints are decent and good music upstairs with lots of local bands showcased

Apartment, Belfast

Overpriced and food is not great. Full of people who want to be seen and cant afford the real good places to go in Belfast

27 Dec 2009 06:23

The Planters Tavern, Waringstown

NO!!!!! Only go if you want to audition for the new Rocky movie.

27 Dec 2009 06:22

The Tullygally Tavern, Tullygally

Good local community bar. Loads of craic and best pint of Guinness in town. Lack of phone signal is an added bonus lol

27 Dec 2009 06:21

Jamesons Bar, Portadown

I wouldn't say its exactly friendly. Depends how many loyalist tattoos you have...

27 Dec 2009 06:19

Jamesons, Portadown

Notoriously dodgy pub. Avoid at all costs. My mate used to work there and even he says its grim

27 Dec 2009 06:18

Bennetts, Portadown

Bunged at weekends and food and drink are overpriced

27 Dec 2009 06:14

The Four Trees Bar, Moira

Good for a fight and little else it seems

27 Dec 2009 06:13

The Drumgor Tavern, Drumgor

Decent wee pub. Good pint and good craic usually. Not too sure about the good looking barman though.....

27 Dec 2009 06:12

The Stables Bar, Lurgan

Still going after all these years.....

Great off-licence. One of the best in town for deals. Food is also pretty decent and niteclub caters for the older clientelle. I was there recently and got dirty looks from the owner all night because I was not over 50. My wife and I felt intimidated by the constant glares and shaking of heads

27 Dec 2009 04:38

The Railway Bar, Lurgan

Used to be good. Nice refurbishment, but seems to have attracted a rough crowd lately. I have been a few times in the last few months and have seen a fight every night. Good for live bands though.

The Embankment, Lurgan

Changing hands again. Is a dead duck. Bar food isn't too bad actually and disco was ok too. People just don't seem to want to travel the extra mile, even with a free bus.

Pints weren't that great and service was always slow, even when there was nobody in the place

27 Dec 2009 04:31

The Courthouse Bar, Lurgan

Touch and go sort of pub. Used to be the place to go in Lurgan, but seems to have lost a bit of custom to a few of the other bars. You will either have a good night or a terrible night, no inbetween. Bar staff are really slow and will serve all their mates and good-looking girls first, so order 2 or 3 drinks each time!!

27 Dec 2009 04:28

The Cellar, Lurgan

Is aimed at attracting supposed rich young professionals. Is full of wannabee posers, worst of the lot is the owners. Food is decent though during the day, but doormen are laws onto themselves. I avoid it at night as I was refused entry twice for no reason. Owner also asked two doormen to ask me to leave one night as I had the cheek to complain a bottle of beer was out of date.

Summary - Nice place, but owners ruin it

27 Dec 2009 04:25

The Ceili House, Lurgan

Closed down. Had a lot of potential, but layout worked against it

27 Dec 2009 04:21

The Beehive Bar, Lurgan

Benefits from a recent refurb. Good spot and good craic although tends to be overcrowded at the weekends

27 Dec 2009 04:20

The Vintage Bar, Lurgan

One of the better bars in town. Good food, music and friendly staff

27 Dec 2009 04:18

The Rock Bar, Tassagh

Best pub in Armagh. Best prices in Armagh and best craic in Armagh. Great spot and Joe is the man. You can stick your Shields up yer arse.
