The Drummond Arms, Albury

This pub has much improved in recent years, it used to be very cliquey! In general the food is lovely and their portions are generous, although one in my party yesterday had Drummond Rarebit which was, to say the least, somewhat strange and with rather floppy toast! Apparently the pork belly was delicious! Definitely worth a try if you're passing or fancy a drive in the Surrey Hills - reasonably priced, friendly, lovely garden next to the Tillingbourne especially on a hot spring day! Also great inside on a cold winter's evening!

Bull Inn, Bentley

Lovely little gem on the A31. Superb food, very friendly, good beer, great smoking area outside with heater for these cold winter nights. Definitely worth a visit - it's how a pub should be.

The Black Swan, Martyr's Green

Dinner last night was an overpriced shambles! I and one of my friends had chicken and chips for an outrageous 13...chicken was raw in the middle, chips were cold and the plate so hot that the rocket was glued to it! The staff are friendly and it's not their fault what emerges from the kitchen. Good selection of beer and the interior has been well refurbished but was it worth transforming the lovely old 'Mucky Duck' into this pretentious and soulless place?

Bar Centro, Guildford

Great little Italian restaurant, and you can have beer there too. Fantastic asmosphere. Can't book, though!

The Good Intent, Puttenham

One of the best pubs in the world. Unpretentious, good food, friendly and great surroundings. A proper local. Try it...

The Prince Albert, Guildford

Marvellous pub...cheapest pool in Guildford, only 50p a game.
