The Banbury Cross, Banbury

A busy public house tucked away in a side street just of the high street. Large garden area with seating and smoking solution, also wall heating great for chiller nights. Large television which can be viewed by all seats within garden area mid range bar with selection of beers lagers and ales and variety of bottled beers pops etc. Staff very friendly and I was served with a smile quickly and efficiently (Well done Nicky)Although the price for a double Smirnoff and coke and pint of Fosters was steep £9.30. Toilets clean (good for a late evening visit on a weekend) although paper towels had run out by last visit approx quarter past midnight . Karaoke/Disco is provided on a Saturday night which seems to go down well with the punters, although I must admit a little to loud for venue size.Would like to see live entertainment in this venue eg local band/ singer. Pool table in use and popular. variety of seating which is comfortable tables clean and beer mats provided.Doorstaff/ security welcoming although on our visit We did find a slight problem in that the security ejected the wrong person for causing a problem (girl dancing in pathway to seating area in manner to attract males causing drink spillage and arguement resulting in male being ejected not female, turned out the girl was a Lesbian and her partner kicked of maybe security needed to look at bigger picture . On the whole a decent public house though pricing and entertainment need a review.

The Admiral Holland, Banbury

Public house now closed however sited in a prime location just not supported by locals shame as could have been a thriving business given the correct concept

The Moon Under Water, Milton Keynes

We visited this venue on Saturday 14th March 2014 before entering we were greated by a very pleasant member of the door team who knew his role and opened the door for Us ( well done sir ) being a Saturday We expected to wait a while at the bar this however was not the case service was very fast and I have to say the uniform these guys wear is very smart there was enough seating and the punters were of varied ages all well behaved My partner wished to purchase some ciggies so I suggested asking the doorman He was very polite and told Her there was a kiosk just around the corner in the precinct ( closes at 11pm ) an all round good pub shame no music as the venue next door WonderWorld is shite cost £18 for us 2 to get in £3 to hang coats drinks were dear so afford Wonderworld stick with Wetherspoons

Lloyds No 1, Leicester

We visited this venue on Saturday 21st February 2015 both My partner & I were very impressed with the service We received from the bar staff ( very fast in service made eye contact & We were asked twice if we were being served ) prices are good as are all Weatherspoons/ LLoyds venues smoking area had seating which is good as I suffer with back problems the door staff are very well trained and positive in their attitude toilet facilities better than average considering the time of the evening 11pm ( when first checked ) DJ proffesional and good choice of music kept the punters happy and entertained late opening hours a definate plus ( who needs a nightclub when this place has it all ) I would definately recomend this venue of all the Wetherspoons/lloyds bars I have visited I can truthfully say this has to be within the top 5 keep up the good work & a big thankyou to the lady working the upstairs bar ( stevie) you made our evening very enjoyable

Fever, Banbury

This venue is no good for people over the age of 30 because it is always full of young adults age 18 - 25 who are very loud and act foolish which is a shame because the dj plays a variety of good music both old and new although the volume is way to high considering the size of the venue the drinks deals are always changing and the bar staff are very slow ( if your old you can wait ages to be served some times 15 - 20 minutes ) but if your young you get served very quickly ( almost seems like if your face fits you get served ) the toilets are way too small and disgusting this includes the ladies the smoking area is way too small for amount of people using this venue ( this club is part of the bar fever network so they are not short of cash ) there is no seating in smoking area not good for old people or disabled the door staff are sometimes heavy handed ( again a shame ) this is a venue i would like to see adopt major changes if your over 30 avoid

Visited this venue a few weeks back with my fiance and closest friends found the staff and management to be very polite the toilets were well maintained and clean would be nice to see Weatherspoons adopt a few drink deals and maybe on a Sunday have a local singer/artist in the provide nice background music food was okay and tables cleanish overall a good place
