This being my local, I will always have a good word to say about it. Great staff. Agree with other comments about atmosphere improving since the smoking ban, and the Burgers are to die for (Cheese and Bacon...mmm) Great selection of ciders for us cider drinkers also. Generous servings of food also.

Good atmosphere - nice and airy with polite and attentive Staff. Piers is a great host and the food is very good.
Certainly worth a visit.

Completely agree with the comment below. Such a shame about these 2 once great pubs. Just unfortunate pubs are struggling to survive with the low priced supermarket drinks and therefore turning into restaurants.
