The Rising Sun, Epsom

A disappoint when it comes to real ale. Unlike most good pubs either in the country or urban areas you change your beers they don't do that here. Which would be fine by the choice is boring. Usual couple of youngs, tribute (which they have had on for years so can't be called a guest ale) & naked ladies (again been on for ages). I don't go here for the beer, I just have to accept the beer! Go to the Riffleman for good choice

The Wheatsheaf, Ewell

Ok the beer is good. Four ales on, couple of guests. Strange feel to this pub. Friday night music being played into the garden which spoils a nice garden spot. Seems to attract an interesting crowd, won't be rushing back

The Enterprise, Chalk Farm

As this website is about real beer (ale), I would say walk on past this pub. It does only three beers, Green King IPA which wasn't on when I popped in. They also had Gangly Ghoul which was ok & Old Speckled Hen which again was ok but nothing special. There are plenty of other good or even great pubs close by that know what beer is. Have to agree about the poor/rude service, no need to act this way even in London. Toilets are awful.

The Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak

Quality pub, well worth a visit. Loads of small brewery ales & a loads of cider. Wish there were more pubs like this. Nice staff & great atmosphere. Will be back

The North London Tavern, Kilburn

Nice pint of Oxfordshire Pride, only two real ales on tap but some local IPA on tap too, will return another day to try the ones I didn't have a chance to this time

The Jolly Coopers, Epsom

Walked past on Saturday afternoon, was looking forward to seeing how good this pub was but looked like it was closed so carried on walking. Will give it another go sometime

The White Horse, Epsom

Popped in while walking past. Only ale on tap is Doom Bar which was a nice drop but shame there isn't a range. This is a sports pub so if you large tv screens, noise & the crowd that comes with that then I would suggest you find somewhere else.

The Shakespeare, Victoria

So tired, packed full of tourists, staff need training in the beer they serve as they don't seem to know what they are serving or how to serve it. Shame as they actual had some nice Hobgoblin on tap. Won't be coming back

The Rising Sun, Epsom

I have lived round the corner from this pub for years now & even though I didn't try it when it was not run by youngs it is 2009 & people need to move on. This pub is great, its not big, it has a lovely quiet garden even though its located centrally. The food is great & modern. The bitter is good - not the best selection in the world but the staff are great. Will be spending plenty of evening this summer round there
