The William Creek Hotel, William Creek

the only pub in this town, population 2. 3 if you count the barstaff! vietnam veterans, coober pedy opal miners, king brown snakes, cold coopers ale. what more could you want. visit and leave your business card. heaving race week

The Nags Head, Walthamstow

reasonable selection of ale well kept. the rest is formulaic wine bar stuff, hoegaarden, chardonnay, shiraz, stripped pine... walthamstow trying to be highgate, especially the price.

The Red Lion, Leytonstone

euro-fizz on tap, saffa fizz in bottle, the best of which is windhoek at 2.50 a bottle. volley-ball court outback. friendly enough if you get past the muzak, but don't expect atmosphere or ale.

The Walnut Tree Shades, Norwich

small pub just off the market square filled with blues memorabilia. friendly atmosphere. small but well kept selection of ales - the london pride is good. great blues music throught the day. live blues in the w/e evenings. a great mature pub.

The Murderers, Norwich

a good local for the shopper during the day. beer's good but should be at these london prices. get's crowded later on and staff don't bust a gut, so don't expect to be served with any speed or a smile.
