Ye Old Blue Bell, Hull

Saw the large Blue Bell sign outside, but still missed the alley way and so entered the indoor market, quick walk through and tried again.
What a splendid place, okay as I'm retired I appreciated the 'mod cons'!!! smashing place.
Being Sam Smith's good prices and had a nice drink of Taddy Lager - I don't usually drink lager!!
Lovely place

Walters Bar, Hull

What a nice place on a drizzly Saturday afternoon, good range of real ales - three Elgood's - Cambridge, Black Dog & Kick boxer, Summer Lightning, Empire Moonraker Mild, Ringwood Old Thumper, Wold Top's Voluptuous Vicky - who's charms I resisted and tried the Saltaire Cascadian Black, the three or was it four I tried were all of good quality. From personal point of view another blonde beer would have rounded off a good session perfectly

Sheffield Tap, Sheffield

Wow what can you say?
Was it really eight Thornbridge beers , as well as Sierra Nevada and other continental beers.
The Jaipur was excellent but it was run very close by the Meantime.
Not enough time to saviour the delights of any others, must plan these trips better.
So another gem has been added to impressive list of real ale pubs in Sheffield ... is there a better city for the choice of real ales pubs?

Pivo Cafe Bar, York

Called in there on Saturday, named changed to Pivni and it has got even better, three hand pulls from the beloved stable of Thornbridge ,all of this and their usual array of bottles and continental beers.
It was Jaipur, St Petersberg and Hopton when we visited.
As Carlurmston says there is this joint ownership with the Sheffield Tap, so the quality of the handpulls is virtually assured.
A good pub just got better.

Rat Race Ale House, Hartlepool

Howay Gerremin what do you expect from a micropub - luxuries ... anyway there's a key hanging by the far door for the station loo, but I'll agree with you that its not easy to leave.
