It's now closed and going to turn into flats, so I've heard.

A good range of beers, all in good nick and a Bar Billiards table. What more could you want. I would expect it to be busy of an evening and at weekends.

I went in yesterday afternoon. Very quite at that time of day, but the few that were in the pub seemed friendly. The beer was good with a nice choice.

The Amsterdam, Shoreham By Sea
Seven of us went for a meal thier last night. We could only find 2 small things wrong. One of the guys had the Deep Fried Brie as a starter and he said one of the pieces could have done with being cooked a little longer. The second thing was my chicken was just a little over cooked.
Overall then:
Food 9/10
Beer well kept but a little pricey 7/10
Service 9/10
I must say that it was not a busy night so things could have been different but I am willing to give the place another go.

Walked passed today and was told by a workman that the Magpie was being converted into 9 flats

Sven, are you sure you went in to The Seafield, in Hove???
The locals are not friendly, the beer is awful and the whole pub a mess.

The Palmeira was closed with scaffolding all aroud it last week. Is this a good thing? I'm not sure.

Since Neil & Jean have left, The Kendal has gone down hill. Beer (if there is any) is below standard and most of the regulars have gone elsewhere.

The George Payne, Hove
It's been completly done out and renamed The George Payne. I have not been in but looks a lot tidier than it used do.
