Stumbled across this pub on route to Lass o'gowrie and loved it. On a saturday lunchtime wheen it was quiet but beer was excellent, barmaid gorgeous and one coukld sense how alive it would be in the evening - and i'm 60!!

Been done up since my last visit and Rupert Hill aka Jamie in corrie is new landlord i believe, he was certainly behind the bar. Not what it was in scruffyness but ignore that and still an excellent pub with the same good range of Robbies beers, worth a visit

Was in the area so looked in the Good Beer Guide and found this pub, so glad I did. Was on a saturday morning and the Doric Arch wasn't open at 11.45 so walked here, best thing i ever did. Beer superb, barmaid gorgeous, what more could a man want

Engineers Arms, Henlow

Everything people have said about this pub is true, a real ale mecca.
However I was charged 4.20 for my other halfs Bacardi & Coke, so beware if you take yours or somebody elses wife!

Excellent pub, hidden away a bit but worth the troubl to find. Always several real ales and Belgians on. No football colours allowed on Arsenal match days. A nice pub, not cheap but quality is good. Different to anything else in the area

Isaac Wilson, Middlesbrough

One of the better wetherspoons ive been in. five different real ales to choose from not from the usual wetherspoons portfolio. Went there on a boro match day and it was busy but not silly full. Not many real ale pubs in the town nowadays making this one a must
