This pub always seems a little dirty as do it's somewhat dodgy clientelle and their out of control progeny who seem to be in there till all hours.Children should be seen and not heard in pubs particularly after 8p.m.

Bit cliqueish and fairly small pub has good quiz nights though on sunday tuesday and thursday nights.

Good pub lots of cheap drink offers usually on. Cider not too good though. More of a beer pub,needs new quiz machine. Bit laddish and sport orientated.

Used to go in here regularly to play on quiz machine & have a game of pool on a quiet saturday dinnertime was nice enough place but fruit machine replaced quiz one so dont bother with it anymore had karaoke on sunday that was good except host annoyingly played same piece of music very loudly every time a singer was annouced or finished a song drowned out any applause and was soooo repetative drove you mad!

Went here for a quiz night that was a bit strange and complicated drinks were expensive and the place seemed a bit dour but this was early last year so may have improved

Bit of a smokey pub upstairs near the bar but has seperate non-smoking area downstairs for food which is standard fare, but good filling and cheap.the cider is excellent and the cheapest around. They seemed to have a large selection of beers at staggeringly low prices that my friend said was very well kept so give it a try. There is a great sun terrace for sunny days.

The Old House At Home, Shipley
Not been in here for ages as on last visit it was rather dire and dirty no cider on,then after couple of drinks no wine either,so as I don't drink beer I was at a loss.Only stayed as chap doing karaoke was good.Lets hope it has improved may brave another visit

Go here regularly for food it is good and reasonably priced don't consider it to be a drinkers pub though more a glorified restaraunt often filled with out of control children! why can't parents be more responsible with their damn offspring pubs are not playgrounds!!!!

i like this pub cos it serves lots of different ciders and perrys at competitive prices but the amount of families/kids eating rather spoils it 4 me not much going on either used to have quiz night that was brilliant but alas no more they do have quiz machine when its working

This is a nice big pub serving palatable food at not bad prices it has 2 quiz machines and regular quiz nights the cider is good serves plenty of different wine varieties for anyones taste

Got taxi with friend to attend advertised quiz here Sunday evening waited ages only to be told they weren't bothering so won't be bothering to go again cider was awful.

The Victoria Hotel, Eccleshill
This pub had it's problems in the past with inconsistent managment being the root cause, but new landlord Dave seems to be a real gem, always jovial and welcoming just how landlords used to be.

Friendly village pub landlord Alan is a good guy even if he's a southerner!(lol) fairly small pub gets packed on quiz nights but it;s worth the squeeze. Draught cider is not very nice, though people tell me the beer is generally good

This is a lovely big pub with a warm friendly welcome for all even hairy bikers(lol)a bit more quizzing/karaoke wouldn't go amiss and the cider could be improved but I like it a lot

In my opinion this pub has gone down hill steadily in recent years it needs someone to clean up its act in general and it could easily be great again

The Brewery Tap, Idle
This is a nice pub on the whole cider is great woodpecker and strongbow last time I was in the band nights are too loud for me though must be getting old!They have a pool table but need to bring back the quiz machine!!!
