The Crown Inn, Churchill

Always a joy to visit this outstanding pub.

The Old Inn, Mullion

Nice enough place although a bit pricey and very crowded on a Sunday evening. However, served by two different bar staff and both were very generous with the head, so ask for a top up.

Off The Rails, Weston Super Mare

Quite how this place keeps appearing in the GBG must be one of lifes mysterys, the beer is well kept but you won't get the feeling you are welcome amongst the six fingered toothless locals.

The Coopers Arms, Highbridge

Visited here recently, found four ales in excellent condition, and the staff or licenees were friendly. The pub was nowhere near as busy as it used to be for a Thursday evening but then, what pub is these days since the introduction of the government and CAMRA supported smoking ban.

The Castle Of Comfort, East Harptree

Excellent warm and cheerful pub, the staff were friendly and efficient. Good selection of Ales and in superb condition, the meals were great value. Well worth visiting, but if your dinning get there early as it is very popular.

The Bell, Bath

Great unpretentious pub with a good selection of well kept expensive ales. Ive made many enjoyable visits there however during a recent visit with friends we encountered a serving wench who seemed to be having the mother of all bad hair days. The effort of doing what she was actually being paid to do, i.e. serving a round of drinks etc brought deep yawns and sarcastic comments. Complaining to the head glass collecting boy who appeared to be passing himself off as some sort of manager about the slovenly manner of the staff caused him much amusement which only served to get everyones back up. In the true tradition of customer service we were informed that our presence was no longer welcome and a ban was handed down.
Dont let that put you off making a visit, you can have a good time there, unless your served by the barmaid from hell with attitude.

The Old Farmhouse, Nailsea

Nice pub, serves excellent food. Some of the real ales are expensive for the area.
