J J Moons, Wembley

Not bad for a whetherspoons. been here everytime when the snooker masters is on since 2004. The staff were very friendly. Maybe because the staff in Amsterdam (where i live) is one of the worst! Food and drinks not bad at all.

The Old Post Office, Wembley

visiting the snooker we went here first in 2004. That time it was a good pub with nice food. From 2005 it went down the drain. rowdy noisy pub and a complete shambles. never gone there again. Even the whetherspoon next door is an oasis compared with this joint!

The Fat Cat, Sheffield

I was in Sheffield to visit the snooker and looked out for some real ale pubs as well. The Fat Cat was in my guide and went for it. I did not feel safe walking towards it, quite a derelict area. I wondered how a decent pub could be here. As i went in it was quite pleasant, filled up with ale enthusiasts. Walking into the garden i was surprised there was a jazz festival going on as well. Brilliant atmosphere and a very nice selection of ales for reasonable prices! (Paul from Amsterdam). Lovely place!
