strange one this. friendly enough but prone to off days. not sure if thats the staff or the locals. More enjoyable than the surroundings would let you think

I always really enjoy this pub. what more do u want. Lively but not troublesome with great regulars and friendly staff who really know the area. Shame its hidden away by the verge and thats the worst thing i can say.

I think the comment by cranky25 sums it up. This is the kinda spit n sawdust (incidentally used to soak up blood pee and vomit) pub. where the locals feel they could leave their 6 year olds. Which says more about the client�le than this user perhaps realised. As the rest of us would not consider leaving our children in ANY pub.
Would like to add I live ABOVE a pub and have rarely had cause to complain about noise.
Its a shame as it looks like it could be lovely. from the outside. when its shut.
On the plus side the barmaid when I went, was an absolute gem.
