The Queens Head, Piccadilly

Well its good to see that there are still some decent barmen left in london. Yes I returned and spoke to one of the barmen. He was allot more diplomatic about the situation. He explained how the pricing works. So i will continue to use here monday to friday... as for the weekends... ill still stay clear of that horrid part time barmaid

The Bootlegger, High Wycombe

I visited this pub a few times and was glad to see the same cheerful barman with a great knowledge of the beers in stock. But returned in the last 2 weeks to find he has left for a position elsewhere. the pub has lost a valuable member of staff who i believe was there from the start ...
What a shame

The Queens Head, Piccadilly

well ive been going here every week now as there is a half decent pint of Guinness. But this is my first saturday and im disgusted to if 15p dearer ... over the past few weeks ive paid 3.45 and thats one of the reasons for my return. Well I got charged 3.60 today and got a gloomy look from an bargirl with not a clue of how to deal with customers.
I shall be finding somewhere else to drink.
as for a visit ,,, Not advised well not on a weekend anyway !

The Flint Cottage, High Wycombe

What an amazing pub, It has been renamed The Bootlegger which suits the idea.
7 Real ales on tap 2 of which are rotated between Rebellions ales as a permanent fixture. 4 Guest ales rotating constantly and 1 Cloudy cider. They also have a selection of approx 70 bottle conditioned real ales and a further 180 bottled beers from all over the world ranging from Belgium to South America.
Really laid back and relaxing atmosphere.
They have a over 21's policy, No Children, No pool table, No Football or no football colours to be warn in the pub. Which is great as they support Rugby and it get precedence on their large screen. I cant wait to see how they finish of the back garden (its huge)... All and all a great drinkers pub with no rif-raf.
The staff are excellent and must be commended for the knowledge of the products they sell. Yes they have a huge range which can be a bit daunting .... but let the staff know what taste you like and will will happily suggest something for you.
what can i say... I have found my favourite drinking whole to date.

The Volunteer, Sutton Abinger

dropped in for a quiet pint and to say hello as i was new to the area.. No one else in the pub so i though excellent time to have a chat and find out what nights were good. But i was sicked to find the most unsocialable member of staff ever.. I tried to strike up a conversation to get no reply and to be ignored while the bargirl/person behind the bar was to busy chatting to the chef.. after 20 mins i left... dont think ill be visiting there again !

The Kings Head, Holmbury St Mary

This is not a bad little pub, I haven't tried the food yet the drink seems ok. only downside that gets me is the gents toilet which is outside and is a bit grotty.
