Brecknock Arms, Bells Yew Green
The inside has recently been refurbished sensitively creating a much bigger bar area and better dining facilities. The owners are very welcoming and the beer is in great nick. The food is excellent- steak and kidney pudding amongst other traditional dishes recently and wonderful sponge puddings.

The food is very good- better than good pub grub with generous portions and I think it is very good value for money. The owners are very helpful and friendly and there is generally a great atmosphere in the bar.

The Grove Tavern, Tunbridge Wells
This traditional pub seems to go from strength to strength- guaranteed a warm welcome and good beer-particularly good on friday afternoons as regulars gather to await the visit of the fishvan from Hastings and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons presided over by barman Tony. If only there were more pubs like this

The Rose and Crown, Tunbridge Wells
Sadly a pub to be avoided at the moment- it has really gone downhill and most of the regulars seem to have departed. No food any more and the beer is of indifferent quality. Landlady means well but inexperienced and let down by her staff
