Langtry's, Nottingham

Used to be a great boozer - lively and friendly all the time. Sadly times have changed, the place now seems to be happy simply catering for grumpy old men. Avoid at all costs (unless you fancy a whinge about how youngs 'uns today have no respect & how it weren't like this in my day, blah, blah blah...yawn).

The Cafe Bar, Nottingham

Pretty cool place - slightly pricey but very chic & cosmopolitan. Won't be everyone's cup of tea, but its a good example of how a continental style cafe bar should be done.

The Broadway Cafe Bar, Nottingham

Excellent place for a post film meal & beer

These trendy continental bars aren't usually my cup of tea (tea? -shouldn't that be beer?), but this is not bad though. The location makes it ideal for necking a pint or two after watching a film in the cinema around the corner

Fantastic pub with a good range of well kept, quality ales and warm, friendly bar staff. I fully agree with earlier comments, you have to know the right time to go in to avoid the cackling vodka swilling jakey-harridans. Brilliant place to have an after-work pint & chat though.
